School’s Out for Summer!

The kids have been counting down the days. You knew this time was coming, and you’re excited to spend some extra time with the kiddos, but how in the world are you going to keep them entertained all summer? Maybe you have a pool or play set outside, but are you looking for ways to keep playtime fresh and fun? No worries, because we found some great ideas for kids of all ages!

1.  Sign them up for sport, religion, or educational camp. This keeps the kids actively involved in a fun activity and even helps teach them commitment and teamwork. This may also give you time to get caught up on any housework or errands. Check your local library for reading camps.

2.  A day at the park. Are there any parks in your area within walking distance? How about some new and exciting parks a little further from home to try out? A day at the park is also an opportunity for a picnic or play-date!

3.  A day at the beach. Ok, so this is an obvious summer activity. This will be really easy if you’re near the ocean, but if you’re not, try a lake, pond, local pool, or waterpark. This is a great opportunity to improve the family’s swimming skills and get great exercise!

4.  Backyard fun. You can find fun right in your backyard! You can let the children help with the gardening, build them a fort or clubhouse, have lunch or a snack outside, pitch a tent, or play games such as hide-and-seek, hopscotch, corn-hole, and more!

5.  Indoor or outdoor crafts. You loved their school projects, so let them keep that creativity flowing! They can make them for mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, or grandpa! Here are a few sites to snag an idea: Outdoor Nature Crafts or Indoor Summer Crafts.

No matter what you decide to do, your child(ren) will love spending time with you. The activities mentioned above will help them grow and develop, and keep them active. Remember, when taking baby out this summer, make sure you take him or her out in style with a stroller from www.TrendyBabyStrollers.com!
